Head of Strategy Charlie Ebdy will once again take to stage at the Advertising Week Europe when the annual advertising festival kicks off on Monday 20 March.
Charlie’s talk, entitled ‘Kardashian Family Values’, will examine how the world’s most famous family expose advertising’s biggest myths.
“The Kardashians are frequently, vulgar, regularly inappropriate and completely inauthentic,” says Charlie. “They’ve never been consistent, never pursued a purpose beyond their own gain and never provided a quality product. And yet the Kardashian have turned themselves into the most successful brand of the decade by actively breaking some of the most cherished rules of brand-building.”
It represents the next iteration in Charlie’s work on modern branding following the success of last year’s AWE talk The Tortoise and The Hare’, which was based on Charlie’s award-winning IPA paper on the rules of branding in the 21st century.
If you’re attending this year’s event then make sure you get down to the IPA Centenary Stage at 4pm on Monday 20 March to learn more from the Kardashians than you (likely) thought possible.
Further details can be found on the Advertising Week Europe website and a live stream of the talk will be available right here on the Vizeum UK website.
