Last week Vizeum supported the launch of The Bakery – the innovative ad-tech incubator aimed at driving collaboration between mature tech start-ups, brands and agencies. AB Inbev, BMW, Panasonic and Heinz are amongst the first of our clients to back the launch where real contracts will be awarded to those tech companies that can best answer client briefs.
Planned events for The Bakery include “hack days” for marketing technologies, presentations on leading advertising techniques and new technologies, and exhibitions of innovation in digital and creative media.
This newly launched incubator has been heavily supported by the IPA, Tech City Investment Organisation (TCIO) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) as an initiative that will make a huge difference to both the tech and advertising sectors.
Richard Morris, Vizeum’s managing director, says that “agencies have a duty to place themselves at the leading edge of technological development.” He explains: “We hold a responsibility to be constantly vigilant in finding solutions for [our clients’] really big problems… and deliver world-beating results as a consequence.”
